“Getting deeper in debt”

Not exactly having the start he was hoping for, Harold Varner III coming off the 9th green where he just made bogey five to shoot +2 for an opening nine of (38). He is currently +3 for the tournament. He's gonna have to catch fire on the back nine, if he's gonna be relevant heading into Sunday's final round.

Defending Champion Paul Casey shoots a 66 in the second round at the Valspar Championship to remain at the top of the leaderboard heading into Saturday’s third round.  Casey missed the cut at last week’s “Players” at TPC Sawgrass courtesy of a 78 and 74 for the first two rounds.

The 41-year-old shrugged off that setback and returned to the form that brought two runner-up finishes and a third place in his five events leading up to the Valspar Championship.  Casey is currently ranked No.15 in the world.  He says he would love nothing more than to successfully defend his title since he’s never had that experience before in his professional career.  And of course, a win while heading into the Masters in August in less than three weeks would put him in a good place mentally.
