Golf Magazine Defies Tradition

Black Enterprise Magazine Profiles
African American Golfer's Digest

(REPRINTED from Black Enterprise Magazine)

(August 2003)-- The September issue of Black Enterprise magazine profiles the launch of a new golf publication that is making a strong entrance in reaching black golfers.

The African American Golfer's Digest features news, tips and activities in the 'soulful' world of golf and is published by African American Golfer's Digest Inc., based in New York City. The quarterly publication launched the first issue in March 2003 and reaches over 20,000 avid black golfers nationwide.

Publisher, Debert Cook, CMP, who is a corporate meetings planner by trade with over 15-years of industyr experience in meetings operations and logistics, says she intends on increasing circulation with additional distribution to top black golf events and executive programs.

Black Enterprise also prominently featured the new pub during it's 10th annual Black Enterprise/Pepsi Golf and Tennis Challenge over Labor Day weekend at the Doral Golf Resort and Spa in Miami, Florida. The event attracted over 1,500 attendees and gave Cook premium exposure to bring greater awareness of the magazine.
