TRAVEL & MEDICAL INSURANCE

You will receive two travel insurance policies: a U.S. policy and a Cuban policy.

        1. U.S. Insurance Policy

The basic U.S. travel insurance policy is underwritten by Travel Insured International.  For full information, please see the policy to be included in final trip documents or visit their website www.travelinsured.com

2. Cuban Insurance Policy

The basic Cuban travel insurance is from Asistur/Esicubam, which is the state-owned insurance agency.  With this policy, group members do NOT need to pay cash out-of-pocket in case of emergencies.  This is critical in Cuba because without this insurance policy, doctors and medical facilities require upfront cash payment, and it is extremely difficult for Americans to quickly obtain sufficient Cuban CUCs for such cash payment since most U.S. ATM cards do not work there. For full information, please see the policy to be included in final trip documents.

It is client’s responsibility to ensure a minimum of 6 months’ validity on their passports beyond the final return date of the tour.  Please renew passports (if necessary) BEFORE obtaining VISAS.  Client is fully responsible for meeting passport, visa and other travel document requirements for entry into Cuba, and Remember Cuba will not bear any liability for any delays or denied entries encountered due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.

PASSPORT & VISA REQUIREMENTS

It is client’s responsibility to ensure a minimum 6 months’ validity on their passports beyond the final date of the tour.  Please renew passports (if necessary) BEFORE obtaining VISA’s.  Client is fully responsible for meeting passport, VISA and other document requirements for entry into Cuba, and Pathfinders Travel, Tour Operators, Travel partners and their affiliates will not bear any delays or denied entries encountered due to incomplete or incorrect documentation.
