The ENDALZ Charity Golf Tournament was a huge success on June 7, 2017, and—in spite of having to end early due to excessing rain—a great time was had by all at the Innisbrook Resort, Palm Harbor, Fla.  “We had 17 teams compete on the challenging Copperhead course,” said organizer, Rufus Lewis, whose wife of 52-years, Cynthia, is a victim of the disease.  “Everyone enjoyed themselves and had lots of fun.”   Golfers chowed down on a delicious lunch and received gift bags full of goodies.  Proceeds from the tournament benefited the Walk to End Alzheimer’s that is being held in Tampa, Florida, Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 8:00 a.m. at the Amalie Arena.  All are welcome to join the Walk.

Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. The chronic neurodegenerative disease usually starts slowly and worsens over time. There is no current cure, but treatments for symptoms are available and research continues.

Players of all ages teed-up on the Copperhead course (Par 71, 7209 yards), a favorite among PGA TOUR professionals and host to some of the world’s greatest golfers during the PGA TOUR’s Valspar Championship.  In attendance was Mr. Belvin Brown from St. Petersburg,Fla.—the oldest player. Brown has been playing golf for more than 70-years.
