Edward S. Wanambwa
Author

Edward S. Wanambwa, acclaimed golf writer of his bestselling book "Stories From the Caddyshack," a collection of colorful, revealing and emotional stories about the games greatest players told by the men who caddied for them. Working in their shadows, these men turned an occupation others considered demeaning into an art form. With pride and dignity they made an indelible mark on the game.  “Stories From The Caddyshack” skillfully captures the challenges, tragedies and triumphs experienced by these extraordinary men.

Wanambwa served as the Lead Consultant of the award-winning film "The Last Colored Caddy" and he has also found success in the arena of corporate golf, as President/CEO of Wanambwa Enterprises Incorporated, a leading business management firm based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Wanambwa was born in war-torn Uganda, East Africa during the terror and violence of Idi Amin.  He and his family escaped to the United States only to lose his father to a tragic accident.  At a very young age Edward assumed the responsibility of supporting his sister and aging grandmother.

His second book, “Wanambwa-One Who Survives” is a story of determination and survival that takes him from Uganda to the gang infested streets of Los Angeles and onto the battlefields of the Middle East. Dispite tremendous setbacks, disappointments and obstacles, he has managed to survive and succeed.  His inspirational story testifies of his inner strength and helps others recognize and develop the greatness within.

Wanambwa is a journalist, TV and radio personality and highly sought after as one of America's most notable speakers and expert commentators on golf.  He hosts a weekly TGX Golf Radio Show and is a frequent guest on The Golf Channel and ESPN networks.  He currently serves as the Senior Editor of the African American Golfers Digest and lives in Decatur, Georgia with his wife Melanie.
