She’s done it again, becoming, for the 7th time, the Club Champ of the Cypress Lakes Ladies Club. Dorothy Johnson, a well-seasoned Golf Channel amateur tour player, pulled off a fantastic win during the two-day tournament played April 20-21, 2016 at Cypress Lakes golf course. Johnson, Johnson, known as “DOT” among her friends, is a resolute winner on The Golf Channel amateur tournaments and plays competitively year-round.
Her mantra: “Have clubs, will travel”. Johnson has been playing the game since 1991 and on May 27, 2012, received the Founder’s Award at the African American Golfers Hall Of Fame in West Palm Beach, Fla.scoring 86, 95.
