9-year old, Andrew Davis has been a golf enthusiast ever since his father introduced him to the game when he was only 4 years old. Little Andrew, born in the city of San Diego, California, now resides in Fleming Island, Florida. He stays just outside of Jacksonville in the Fleming Island which was formerly a wetland area later developed into golf courses and suburbs.

Andrew_Davis_2Although Andrew loved the wonderful year round climate in his hometown in San Diego, CA, his father who was in the Navy moved the family to Florida where he also enjoys the golf facilities he gets in Fleming Island.

At the young age of 2, after learning to walk, he would play with a plastic set of golf clubs and swing them around in the air until the day he started playing to gain the skill and expertise in the game. His father was the one person who introduced him to the game and motivated him to sign up for tournaments.
He would be his caddie and helped him to gain confidence in his talent. The bright emerging golfer carries a positive attitude that he feels is the key to achieving a level of brilliance in the sport. Andrews has a handicap of 3.

Being the only child to his parents, Andrew has no siblings to enjoy the game with. However, his father is the best friend that he plays golf with. He believes that in order to achieve success and greatness in the sport, hard work and sincerity are the two things that he needs to focus on.

Andrew_Davis_3With a keen interest in his favorite subject of Mathematics, Andrew Davis attends Thunderbolt Elementary in Fleming Island, Florida, which is a part of the Clay Country Florida School district.

When not on the golf course practicing his game, Andrew loves to participate in Cub Scouts, martial art-forms like Tae Kwan Do, activities like Gymnastics and he also loves to enjoy music when not on the golf course.

Andrew is a green belt in Tae Kwon Do and has also won many competitions awards in Gymnastics events hence, is an accomplished gymnast, mathematics lover and a brave martial artist apart from being an exceptional talent in golf.

Golf is a game played with the spirit of honesty, integrity and courtesy. At a very young age, Andrew understands these basic principles and plays the game keeping the ethics in mind. With a special love for Japanese food, the young sportsman has accomplished a huge number of wins over the few years. Andrew is half Japanese and aspires to be a professional PGA Professional. Most of his hours are spent in practicing his game and brushing up his skills. Apart from the practice, he plays golf at least 12 times in a month or more.

Andrew_Davis_4Young Andrew is a member of US Kids Golf for the past two years, the First Tee of North of Florida for a year and the North Florida Junior Golf Association for 6 months. His home golf course being the Magnolia Golf and Country Club, Green Cove Springs in Florida, is located off U.S.

Highway 17 south of Jacksonville. The Club was specifically designed for golf and has beautiful backdrop of magnificent oaks, magnolia trees and tall pines to ensure that the shots hit at the course do not land into someones pool or bedroom window.

The course has the beautiful scenic view of the 1000 acre community to provide a delightful golfing experience.

Andrew has a long list of accomplishment in Gymnastics, Tae Kwan Do and golf. The list of his golf achievements include:

– Winning the US Kids Golf Player of the Year for the Jacksonville, FL Fall tour 2013.
– Winning 4 out of 5 tournaments in the US Kids Jacksonville, FL Spring 2014 tour with two more tournaments to go. (Final tournament to be played May 18 2014
– Scoring 2nd position in the US Kids 2014 Regional Tournament at Jekyll Island, GA that hosted kids from all over the South East Region of the United States
– Winning the battle of North Hampton (Mar 14) hosted by the North Florida Junior Golf Association.
– Winning the 2014 First Tee of North East Florida Southern Championship and Jacksonville Open.

Andrew_Davis_1Andrew Davis has been coached and guided by Brian Kibler of The Golf Academy along with his father. The young boy takes weekly lessons from his coach and practices with his father two or three times in a week as well.

The passionate golfer is full of energy and confidence and is also a focused strategist on the greens. He knows that his parents’ support and motivation is the key that drives him to continue his journey to ultimately be a PGA champion.
