Advocates Pro Golf Tour Plows Through New Orleans

Tommy Schaff shot rounds of 64 and 67, for a two-day total of 131 to win the Advocates Pro Golf Tour event at Joseph Bartholomew Golf Course, in New Orleans.  Schaff is from Savannah, GA.  He is a veteran mini tour player, and former contestant on The Big Break.  Schaff defeated Landon Lyons by two shots.  Tim O’Neal, also from Savannah, finished third.

The mission of the Advocates Pro Tour is to bring greater diversity to golf.  Now in its seventh season, the tour continues to help identify and support young, aspiring African American golfers pursuing careers in golf.  This was the second consecutive year for the Advocates Pro Tour at Joseph Bartholomew Golf Course. APT group shot New Orleans-500 “We look forward to seeing you next year,” said Congressman Cedric Richmond, New Orleans democratic representative.  Congressman Richmond was among hundreds of spectators and patrons who enjoyed viewing the competition and festive camaraderie at Joseph Bartholomew GC.
